Korean Church of Knoxville (KCK), a vibrant and dynamic church located in East Tennessee, is seeking for a part-time or full-time English Ministry (EM) pastor who has a passion to spiritually guide and lead the Youth Group and EM congregations.
In 2018, KCK celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the EM ministry, and the church is fully committed to support and serve our EM congregations. Our English Worship Service (EWS) attendance varies anywhere from 10 to 20+ members, which consists of families, young adults, and college students. Currently, the EWS attendance is about 10 active members, but has a strong potential for future growth. Our Youth Group consists of about 15-20 students (6th thru 12th grades).

Part-time position is focused on leading the worship services for EM and Youth, which involves but are not limited to the following:
• Shares messages/teaching in both the EM and the Youth Group and participates in the Sunday fellowship activities
• Provides spiritual encouragements and supports to leaders, teachers, and volunteers, and build effective Christ-center community
• Accountable to the Senior Pastor of KCK and faithfully serve alongside the EM and Youth leadership teams, deacons, elders of the church
Full-time position includes responsibilities stated above and the following:
• Develops long term goals to match objectives necessary to build the youth and EM programs
• Selects and implement curricula for EM and Youth groups’ bible studies
• Select and implement curricula for teachers/leaders’ training
• Plans and lead programs that promote EM and Youth’s spiritual growth and impact the Kingdom of God, such as retreats, revivals, local outreach programs, mission trips (local or abroad) etc
• Builds and sustain healthy relationships with the Children Ministry (~30 children) in a collaborative manner
• Performs other pastoral duties as needed (visitation, counseling, etc.)
• Has the flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and adopt to rapidly changing needs of our church
Qualifications:
• Show a true love for God’s people and a relentless desire to find new ways to reach out to youth and EM congregations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
• Previous EM and Youth ministries experiences
• A Master of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary preferred
• Compensation: commensurate with experience
